Call for Nominations for the BIFHSGO Hall of Fame Award


The BIFHSGO Hall of Fame Award recognizes contributions of a member(s) to the Society over a number of years and is presented annually. The judging is based on specific criteria: the advancement of BIFHSGO objectives, projects, or activities; outstanding service to the Society; the advancement of genealogy and family history in general. Details are on the Member Recognition page  on the website.

Please consider making a nomination by completing the form on Member Announcements in the Members Area of the BIFHSGO website. The nomination period ends 30 April 2025.  For more information, contact secretary@bifhsgo.ca.

It's our 30th anniversary year! Look forward to seeing you for special activities throughout the year!

BIFHSGO's 30th Anniversary

June 2024 marked the beginning of BIFHSGO's 30th anniversary year. Follow the celebrations on the special 30th Anniversary page. We will feature our members’ achievements over the past three decades. Presentations “From the Vault” will be reprised and “Spotlight on BIFHSGO” talks will report on projects that our dedicated volunteers have worked on to create the many resources on our website. Treasures From the Past 30 Years highlights Anglo-Celtic Roots articles and presentations from BIFHSGO conferences and monthly meetings.




OGS Membership Discount

BIFHSGO is a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society: Ontario Ancestors. As such, BIFHSGO members can benefit from a $5 discount on new or renewing 2025 OGS memberships. Details are available in  Member Announcements  in the Members’ Area.
