The BIFHSGO library was transferred to the Ontario Genealogical Society (Ottawa Branch) Library in 2016. The library, located in the Reference Room of the City of Ottawa Archives at 100 Tallwood Drive in Ottawa, represents the research interests of both societies: Eastern Ontario/Western Quebec, the British Isles and British Colonial America.

BIFHSGO continues to provide resources for the library in the form of volunteers and the acquisition of books and other resources. These resources include journals provided through membership or exchange arrangements. BIFHSGO has also provided a subscription to the British Newspaper Archives that is available at the library.
