This year's theme explored the forces behind Scottish migration and emigration. Moved by economic hardship, social clearance, or the promise of new horizons, our ancestors' decisions to relocate shaped history and families across generations. Our expert speakers provided invaluable insights and practical strategies to help you trace your family line back to their homelands in Scotland.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to local Scottish-Canadian folk musician Bobby Watt. His moving song, "Flittin' Day", served as the core inspiration for this year's conference theme. The track beautifully mirrors the journeys, challenges, and resilience of our ancestors as they moved to forge new lives.

We are also grateful to Dorothea Larsen for the creation of our logo this year.
